| Career Accomplishments: |
Dr. Azhar served as a Principal Investigator with South Central VA Health Care Network and subsequently won a Career Development Award for her work there. She was a Co-investigator with NIH/NIA in a study entitled "Transcription Regulation in the Aging Heart," the goal of which was to study the mechanisms of age changes in transcription regulation in the heart. She was also a Principal Investigator with NIH/NIA in a study entitled "Care Coordination and Home Telehealth Program for Older Adults with Cardiovascular Disease." Dr. Azhar served as a Core Co-Director and Investigator with NIH/NIA for the Arkansas Claude Pepper Older Americans Independence Center at UAMS. |
